CABERG HELMETS

I bought a Caberg Trip helmet last summer and am quite happy with it.Sometimes you do get a bit of wind noise, but as i wear ear plugs it is ok.It is quite comfy :cool:and not too heavy once you put it on.

I bought a V2R at the Excel bike show in Jan. Good fit but noisy. Ear plugs take the edge off the noise but at least its twice as safe as my Arai Condor and half the price. Sun Visor is cool too

I really wanted one but the small was too small and the medium was too big. I loved the sunshade thingy, like being a pilot

And your point is?

Go to bed and get some lovin

Got a Caberg Justissimo, love it to death, noise is not an issue as I`m over55 years old, the sun visor is uber cool and the optional night vision device and clip on death ray are a positive joy.

i was looking at the V2R the other day, but came across a serious issue: the sun visor doesn’t clear my glasses :frowning:

Will have to look at some others now

Try the Shark Evo or even the Shuebeth C2/C3.

Avoid Shuberth, their QA and Build Quality is shocking. As is the back up service from the UK distributor.

Thanks, I thought it was a good lid - hence why I got one…

Had a V2 for a year, it is my first and only lid but I would buy another one any day.

Find that the days when sunglasses are just not enough sunglasses plus sun visor is nice ( whether it is clever or not  )

I am on my third Caberg (j1, trip and justissimo) but have found the top of the visor lets in water when it rains.

They should be, I still miss the C2, it was by far the most comfortable and quiet lid. Also could put one on without taking the specs off. However had to many problems with them. Would love to go back, but don’t want to risk it.

Oh, I’ll have a closer look at my C2 later, but it’s been ok so far.

I have a Caberg Trip which i loved up until the visor decided to keep opening on the M20 on Sunday whilst riding at speed.

Got a Shark Evoline on its way so will see how that does.

I used to have a Trip which did the same - opened about half an inch whenever I did a shoulder check at speed and shut again when I looked back front. Eventually got so peed off with it that I stopped wearing it, shame because otherwise I found it really good.

my “summer” helmet is a justissimo I love it! its a bit noisey but I wear earplugs so no problems, the smoked visor is a god-send as you never need to worry about sunglasses, it also saves your eyes if you are riding with the face up.the only problem I have is its too big to fit in my panniers, although if the topbox is on it will fit in that. I have no problems with rain as when the bikes screen is up on its high setting the airflow “washes” the visor keeping it clear of rain once I get above 40mph, all in all a good helmet, although being old fashioned I would prefer D-rings to the clip fastner.

I love my Trip helmet. I had all sorts of problems getting a helmet to fit comfortably (must have funny shaped head or something! :D) but the Trip suits me down to the ground. Nice and light too.

+1 for the Caberg Justissimo GT. Downsides

  • Water gets in at top of visor.
  • Quite noisy
  • Not enough cool air through vents.

I’m a big fan of flip up lids with integral dark visors. Anyone got a preference? Anyone tried the new Nolan?
