Bummer....

Just got my results back from my police test and i missed out on the met by 1% so gotta wait 6 moths if i wanna re-try, im gutted :frowning:

You were too dumb to join the Police? :w00t:

Only joking mate…Better luck next time.

mate gutted for you… are you going to wait the 6 months?

you know what this means, right?

RR > Curtis!

Mate - gutting, so close, really sorry for you mate, but stick in there, you were close this time, but next time you will pass for sure. Ask on here for any advice and filter out all the rubbish that afro will say and we might help you

Gutted for you mate…

I applied back in August and I got KB’d before an interview. I was gutted. Will still re-apply though…

Keep ya head up mate, 1% is easy to sort out, just kick its arse next time!

cheers guys i know where i messed up 2 so jus gotta wait i s’pose but dnt make it any easier

Tough brake mate.

You’ll do it in 6 months no problem but I guess it’s a pain having to wait.

Upside is the weather will be better in 6 months time for all the outside training.

Awwww mate gutted for you:crying: Would’nt you consider being a special? then move up the ranks or does’nt it work like that? I ask cos a good friend of mine has just become a special and he wants to move upto become a “proper copper”

Sorry to hear this Curtis, keep plugging at it mate. That six months will fly past.

unlucky mate, 6 months isn’t long, and you’ll sail through next time

Sorry to hear you didn`t get in due to 1%, i would be gutted.

Sorry you didnt make it this time, but 1% is so little, that you will defo get through in 6 months

1%, that’s gutting. Although it’s gutting, it’s also encouraging. In 6 months time you’ll know exactly what to expect and sail through.

ah bruv! gutted man…tho as sherrie says its not all bad! 1% is bloody close mate…next time you will sail through…

Curtis i am so sorry to hear this, and you was so looking forward to it. As everyone else has said, hang in there the 6 months will fly by.

Take care buddy

Bad luck - still - when you do it in six months at least you can start pounding the beat in warm weather!

he he same as me, but I was at 2%, afterwards I just realised that shift work wasn’t for me, I like to enjoy my Xmas and New Years as well as Bdays and such. hearing more and more about guns and knifes I doubt I would wanna be out there. because of the degree they were going to put me on the fast track… not sure if that’s still available now, basically you had 1 year to become a leutenant.

You will probably get an offer… if it is very close call you should get a letter, they might give you a position as a community officer at slightly lower pay or another position. That’s what happened to me but I refused it since I got offered a job that was paying more and less risk.

After that I also got through to the MI5 but same… I though do I really wanna work for either the Police or the MI5 since half of us don’t believe in them and as much as I would like to make a difference I would be bound by stupid laws. At one point I was really thinking to join the Army or Navy but same thing…

I think the main advantage working for the MET is teh fact that they have quite a few nice perks, for example they help you if you buy a house, I think you can get a mortgage directly from them at 0% or something like that. Nice pension, job assurance… plus if they ask you to handle Pork you can always claim you are Muslim:) and get a £1 mill:) (joke)

i been told i can transfer my application over to herts or essex police as their pass rate is lower…but i got my heart set on the met, dont really fancy policing inbreds or chavvy boy racers lol :stuck_out_tongue:

Really sorry to hear this mate! :frowning:
Look on the brightside though, at least you know what to expect when you re-apply!
I’m currently up to my ears in “White Notes”, and have to be up at 5.30am to bike into Hendon! You’ll be here soon enough mate…
Catch up soon mucker…
