Broken wrist - arm in a cast

Apparantly I’ve been riding for 2 months with a broken wrist (caused by Triumph accident), the pain was always there but I thought it was just bruising but 8 weeks later it couldn’t just be bruising so went to see the qwak today and he sent me to a&e and I now sit here with my left arm in a cast for at least the next 11 days, probably longer. Will miss the essex air amb ride, ace, poppins, bmm… might be OK for snett training session but it’s unlikely and might miss the Brands trackday on the 1st too.

What a crap way to end the summer

Get the snippers out and trim off enough of the cast to grip the bars;)

Do we get to sign it down at Borough?

Speedy Recovery m8:cool:

:pinch: Does your bike need looking after? :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorrry to hear that mate- sure it’s not repetitive strain from the sexy post :w00t:

Sorry. Sympathetic really

U big girl my mates driveing his R6 with a broken arm leg and little finger he just mad adjusments to his cast and he aint driveing slow either i reckon its an excuse because hes found a woman lol

but you have to write on your cast iv always wanted to see it “Yes it is broken Stop asking”

Sorry to hear it mate, hope all is good as new after the 11 days.

Thanks, hopefully end of next week it’ll come off and stay off but they were talking about fitting a fiberglass cast for another 2 weeks.

I’d rather not risk anyhting now, hope it’s OK in a week or so. I’m not really bothered about anything else except the track days.

Ah bad news! I hope your wrist mends enough so you can make the trackdays you’ve booked.

Speedy recovery mate.

Gutted for you mate. When I did mine a couple of years back, I was using a stress ball for a few hours a day, when the cast came off after 5 weeks I was fine. The best thing I ever did with the cast, was break through that horid bit around the thumb ;). Mine was on the right arm, and I could then operate a throttle and brake ok

Aww man, hope your wrist recovers well. :frowning:

Ouch! :pinch:

Get well soon.

Thanks, the stress ball sounds a good idea, I’ll get one as I might have a few days to get some movement back when the cast comes off before Snett.

Sorry to hear this mate. Are you now going to pursue a personnal injury claim against the council?

hope u get better soon dude!

x

Yep, the solicitor said a damaged wrist is worth at least £1k which is a fair track day fund :stuck_out_tongue: Didn’t plan claiming for this and if they’d paid up when I first claimed I wouldn’t have but now they’re messing about it would be rude not to.

M8 wat can i say except…

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, GOT THE T`SHIRT. LMAO

anyways hope ur wrist is bk to strengh in time 4 ur trackdays

i know how gutting it is to miss a trackday so if u miss it just think ur not the only poor invalid, take ur time to heal m8 don`t rush to get bk on the bike too soon. LIKE I CAN TALK

also take that counsil for as much as u possible can then next year u`l have alot of tracks to explore with ur spangely new green kwaker

Cheers Kev, mine is nothing compared to yours but I’m trying to be good, help it mend so I don’t need another cast after this one, if I can get away with just this one then I’ll be OK.

GOOD LUCK TODAY!!

Thanks  It’s off but still hurts in exactly the same place as before and with the same inputs, so will keep it off for the next few weeks (until after Brands ! ) and see how it feels then

May be worth investing in a sports support for your track day mate:)

What’s one of them them ? :ermm: I swim a lot but don’t tend to need anything for that.
