Broadband help

Right ok got my pc connected to broadband in one room in the house but here is what I want to do.

I am going to be getting a laptop soon and I also want that to run off the same broadband connection but the room I will be using the laptop in doesn’t have a phone socket. Is there anyway I can run the laptop on broadband from the phone socket where my desktop pc is without having wires running all over the house?

Also can I run my desktop pc and my laptop off the same connection at the same time? I know it will be slower but is this possible?

Cheers and beers in advance.

Wireless router is what you need.

Ok cool and I take it that just plugs into the micro filter and then the other end plugs into the laptop yeah? Any idea how much they are?

Problem is my micro filter only has one connection for the modem cable can you get an adapter that will enable you to plug two modem cables into one micro filter?

No no no bugboy!!!

You need to put a card into your laptop that allows a wireless connection to the router.

Ive got it setup so that the router is connected to my main comp using a cable and wirelessly connected to my other computer.

Check this out bug boy! Look at the wireless router and the card neeeded for your laptop on the RHS of the page. Hope that helps.
