Brilliant on line insurance quote.

The renewal notice came through this morning and the premium has gone up by 20%. Stuff that. So I’ve just been on line to the usual suspects.

Renewal quote = £214 with Equity Red Star.
Tesco = £138 with Equity Rad Star.
Motorcycle Direct = £9,750 with Equity Red Star.

In less than fifty words explain the above.

Must be old age. At least none of them required a re-test.

Bargin.

Try Saga they will beat that!

equity red star sucks

I thought that was for old people.

Yeah. I will also have to renew soon. Never ceases to amaze me how the prices can differ so vastly… but 9 grand :w00t:

They’re all dim wits and bullshitters. It’s a prerequisit of working in the vehicle insurance business.

Equity Red Star were no worse than others when I made my last claim. Just the average pain in the ar$e you should expect with a vehicle/household/holiday insurance claim.

It is,i thought the post was from ‘old guy’

Saga sucks.

Even when your an old fart. Seem to think you have some huge private income to pay their stupid premiums.

I was talking to a friend of mine who is in the insurance business and he says that prices are actually coming down in the wholesale insurance market. Because of the general downturn the companies are chasing business and therefore premiums are dropping.

my renewal quote from Bennett’s came last week, at £259, a 20% increase.

I phoned them to say i wasn’t too happy with that, and I was doing a BikeSafe course, and they re-quoted it at £119. That’s more like it

The vehicle insurance market seems to be all over the place though, very hit and miss - I’m sure they’re making a tidy packet from mis-quoting etc on the assumption that a lot of people can’t be bothered getting quotes and just renew automatically.

+1

Always research you quote… or it’s like chucking money down the drain…:w00t:
