Brilliant DRZ 400

I was buying some crash-bungs off of someone on eBay the other day and they happened to have a DRZ 400 like mine, in Supermoto form (mine is still in enduro trim, building up the knowledge to go SM soon), I thought I’d share the pictures here, as I absolutely loved it!

Flippinf hell mate! I seriously fancy one of those now!!!

It would take a LOT of polishing to get mine as shiney as that! I need to pick up some wheels, new chain & sprockets, then have a look at some performance addons like new discs/calipers/master cylinder, plastics, etc. That said, it’s not as expensive to do as you think, and you’re basically getting a whole new bike.

These bikes are SO much fun Cezar, they’re a joy to throw around in town, light and punchy, with no worries if you drop them, they’re bullet-proof (well, almost). You should have a go on my DRZ some time!

I’m about to pick up a supermoto this weekend and have no idea where I can get bit’s for it. Anybody know any good shops? I know Brackens.

I can’t wait to get out on it

http://www.racespec.co.uk/ do some items, otherwise there’s good old eBay. I’m sure there’s more SM shops out there, but I have had little exposure to them. I understand that the KTM accessories catalogue can leave a man with a second mortage though! I bet you can go silly on them

Post up some pictures if you do mod her, please!

Cheers Jay.

Check out my gallery, there’s pic’s of the ktm, out off date pic of the blade and my old 600. As a matter of interest how do you see peoples galleries?

Hmm, damn you all - really fancy getting one of these for fun in the winter / wet now!! Just out of interest what are the practical differences on the between the enduro and supermoto versions for everyday casual road use / hooning around town etc?

Better get saving!

supermoto version looks nicer and can do stoppies better as the forks don’t compress in an unfavourable way. You can get some very good road and dirt tyres for the enduro stuff, like the ones I have fitted at the moment, Pirelli MT21’s. I’m never left wishing I had more grip, I can ride the bike with these tyres as hard as the next guy (and do!). I’m going Supermoto for style and tyre efficiency, playing the fool on enduro tyres kills them pretty quick.
