Loss of a great talent - (not sure if he was on the business rather than design side of things actually).http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7547267.stm
That`s shocking.
Tragic!
Probably the most influential automotive designer in recent history.
gosh that makes me feel lucky…RIP car designing biker
A sad loss. And it looks like his company is about to go out of business or get taken over.
Can’t say that I have ever heard of him and probably most people haven’t. However I did a look on Wikipedia and found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pininfarina
The list of cars that they have help design is impressive and everyone will recognise one from that list.
A sad loss to the world of engineering and car design.
Rest In Peace.
RIP
i suppose you have to be into cars a bit but Pininfarina is a big big name
i gather it was actually his grandfather and father who developed most of the great designs, he was more management material but still central to the company
a true loss, many of the cars *we * drive today were designed by him

WHAT!! Its one of the biggest names in car history. The Pinnin brand has had influence in design of some of the most amazing cars in the world and even some of the brands we know and use every day.
Well actually saying that, would you know who Tadao Baba is if he walked past you? I would but Im a freak like that.
Sad loss
Some beautiful cars designed by that company.
I probably wouldn’t recognise him physically, but if you said - that’s Tadao Baba - I’d get my autograph book to show/sell
his signature to some of my fireblade owning mates!
Kudos points for you!!
Original Fireblades all had Tadao Baba’s autograph on, but do you know where?;)edit: I believe he got in big trouble for doing it too:w00t:
yep, its standard on all rrw/rrx 1998/99 fireblades, inside of the cockpit fairing.
