Bridgestone performance tires, where to get the best deal?
why bridgestones pav is there a reasoning for that particular brand ? well there’s m&p direct get them delivered then get um fitted
Not for me, it’s for me mate.
He has CBR600F and want change tires cause the old one needs to be replace soon.
FWR Kennington are normally pretty good price wise…
Depends on what you want though… you say performance tyre but what do you mean by ‘performance tyre?’ what do you need it for? Track, road, commuting, sunday blats?
they do
BT014 which is pretty good but soft and often wear pretty quick in the centre
BT002 race compound control tyre
BT020 slightly harder compund but a good commuting tyre
and why Bridgestone>? and not Michelin etc?
Thanx for advise mate.
It what he wants, don’t ask me why
I think he needs a good tires for commute.
OK because it’s for me so i will explain why i was looking for Bt020. I just heard that they are good and have pretty long life and assure excellent grip and feedback and don’t ate termac so quick but it’s not that i want only those. Right now i have fitted Dunlop Sportmax Radial D207 and i’m just looking for something to replace. SO any advice will be helpfull.
Metzler Sportec M3s or Pirelli Diablos…Good tyres.
Metzlers may have a slower wear rate though.
I was curious and ride to Honda service and ask what tires they are fitting and guess what they said … Bridgeston BT020 Can any tell me how much fitting tires cost ?? In Honda it will be with BT020 about 300 £ and in another service 250 £. Are those prices good ? And what about Michelin Pilot Roads ? Oh and i don’t need track tyres i’m using my CBR to commute and only sometimes treat my grip harder. I hope that will help.
From my experience I would advise you against BT020 - I had them and fair enough i thought they were good, untill I rode on Michelin Pilot Sports - they are awsome. They grip well from cold, warm up quickly and feel totaly planted in the wet. granted they won’t last quite as long as the BT020 but its 200% better.
Also another option which I haven’t tried but people have raved about is Continental tyres.
I’d avoid Bridgestones
i beg to differ me lod fruit…ive had the 020’s on my slingshot and rode with them all threw last winter…didnt have one issue…not one…
i liked them alot and would buy them again…
watlins tires are were i go and get em on ///front and rear for about 200 quid…fitted…
smiled.
Smiled but did you buy tyres in the service who was fitting them or you bought them somewhere else ?
014s are good tyres for road use for the price…
I’m even starting to wonder if switching to Pirellis was a good idea as the in the past two winters on the R6, the 014s always gave feedback if they were too cold and were gonna slide out.
Diablos better on track though from what I hear.
I’ve always rated Bridgestones, normally have 010 on the front, 020 on the back. Find them a good allround tyre, even during the winter couring
no part of a service…just ride in a ride out…watlins tyers in catford mate…
hope it helps…
smiled.
I use BT014’s on my CBR600F, their Great but for this summer i’m gonna try the Pilot sport that are used on the RR and also coz charlie rated them very good on the france trip!
but the 014’s have done me well for the whole of last year - 1 new front in march and three rears and the front still don’t need changing!
See M and P their doing good deals for a set and 2rear - 1front!

Try call Geoff at tekmotive. http://www.tekmotive.co.uk/ I have found them one of the cheapest…and very good. Tell him Dan from Barnet recomeded you.
Thx Dan i will do as you said but i have maybe 1000 miles +/- to do on mine and after that i will be looking what and where. But cheers mate.
Hey Warblade, I got Bridgestone 014’s fitted for £210 - but you are right you could be ripped of for around £300-£400 if you do nto look around or ask.
Mine were fitted locally in Chingford at Universal Tyres but I had to take each wheel off - some places do remove and fit for you.
A load of places around - see previous comments from the guys - also use the Directory section!
Look around and do not use main dealer is all I can say. If you can find someone to fit them then Paul600 got Pirelli Diablos for £140 the pair and paid £40 fitting.

Stay away from the 020s on a 600 sports bike they are for heavy commuters or bigger sports bikes with more weight, I fitted a pair on my thundercat and they were rubbish tried a pair on the firestorm and they were a good tyre but not as good as the diablo, bridgestone have a new set coming I think they are call 021rs that will have the same properties as the 020 but will be far better on a 600
After all comments and speking with people i think i will choose Diablos or Bt14 for my CBR
