I had these tyres fitted to the sprint not by my choice but by the dealers, all i can say is they seem ok in the dry but abs crap in the wet. Im seriously considering changing for the pilot road 3`s… i had these fitted to the s3 and they were amazing, especially in the wet!
I told the IAM guys that I dont like riding in the wet (especially after its been dry for a while) but they commented that it didnt seem to slow me down. Diablo rossos seem more confidence inspiring in the wet than the 2CTs I had before (but I have also changed the forks so its hard to know whether it all just due to that and nothing to do with the tyres)
Shame you have to get another set of tyres so soon
yeah its very true, ive read about 6 reviews regarding the 021 and they are mostly negative, overall scoring 1 star out of 5!!!
i want to feel inspired and confident whilst riding in the wet, the pilot roads were amazing!, the 021 just slips around, especially over manhole covers and suchlike. I thinbk they are gonna have to come o0ff.
I had the suspension set up last week, and the forks have had new springs etc, so i know its not that.
SportMax Qualifiers are really good (D209), but now outdated. New tyre is the SportMax SportSmart so far so great! And really deep tread too, should last ages!
BT-21’s are crap in the wet, I hate them. However in the dry they are really really good - I replaced the rear as still had life in the front but will prob change the set next time for something else.
I wouldn’t mind that sort of deal out of a sports tyre, but from a tourer is a bit of a joke
I couldnt get PR3s a few weeks ago. FWR had run out of 180 rears. :crying: So I got another pair of roadsmarts, which, as i was reminded this morning, are really good in the wet. A feck sight better than whatever the gsxr rider in front of me had on his bike.
