Bridgestone BT-021 crap

I had these tyres fitted to the sprint not by my choice but by the dealers, all i can say is they seem ok in the dry but abs crap in the wet. Im seriously considering changing for the pilot road 3`s… i had these fitted to the s3 and they were amazing, especially in the wet!

Bridgestones are giving me no confidence at all

I much prefer my bike since not having BTs

I told the IAM guys that I dont like riding in the wet (especially after its been dry for a while) but they commented that it didnt seem to slow me down. Diablo rossos seem more confidence inspiring in the wet than the 2CTs I had before (but I have also changed the forks so its hard to know whether it all just due to that and nothing to do with the tyres)
Shame you have to get another set of tyres so soon

yeah its very true, ive read about 6 reviews regarding the 021 and they are mostly negative, overall scoring 1 star out of 5!!!

i want to feel inspired and confident whilst riding in the wet, the pilot roads were amazing!, the 021 just slips around, especially over manhole covers and suchlike. I thinbk they are gonna have to come o0ff.

I had the suspension set up last week, and the forks have had new springs etc, so i know its not that.

BT 016 for me every time.

Pilot 3s are a slower turner tyre coming off the back of pliot powers but they do a great Job in all weathers on the sv.

Dunlop sportmax qualifier on the street triple are doing a very good job aswell I’m yet to have the tyre slip on me yet.

PR3’s (the best Tyre made)

Even Heineken couldn’t make a better Tyre.

+1 for Dunlop, all the way.

SportMax Qualifiers are really good (D209), but now outdated. New tyre is the SportMax SportSmart so far so great! And really deep tread too, should last ages!

I like a bit of competition http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=985116&mid=0&nmt=New+BT-016+PRO+vs.+Dunlop+Sportsmart+tyres

yeah im gonna go back to pilot roads:)

BT-21’s are crap in the wet, I hate them. However in the dry they are really really good - I replaced the rear as still had life in the front but will prob change the set next time for something else.

I wouldn’t mind that sort of deal out of a sports tyre, but from a tourer is a bit of a joke

Try mine tonight !

j.c. i dont need to mate, i had pilot roads on the s3 and they were fab!

but fanks:D

I couldnt get PR3s a few weeks ago. FWR had run out of 180 rears. :crying: So I got another pair of roadsmarts, which, as i was reminded this morning, are really good in the wet. A feck sight better than whatever the gsxr rider in front of me had on his bike.

So nicely phrased Road Captain:)

I thought that the BT21 where old stock and they had all moved to BT23 as Ive had BT23 for 9months already reminds me need changing soon

must be old stock!

I’m very happy with my FZ6’s Pilot Road 2’s. They proved great in last nights rain.

They ride and physically feel way more grippy than my DRZ’s BT090.

Recently put bt23 on me blade and they feel really good. Yet to try them in the rain though.

they are back in stock at FWR, I had a pair fitted this afternoon :stuck_out_tongue:

sh1t

Any comments on BT23s? I’m gonna be changing my tyres before my euro trip, and need something good wet/dry and preferably able to do a few miles too.
