What a day, Brands Indy, 23 degrees, Novice group, mate on a CCM, me on my K5 600.
One mega crash at Paddock Hill, 10k worth of Aprilia smashed all over the place, owner went off in an ambulance, think he’ll be ok, sadly the bike made its way back to Brighton looking for a scrap yard.
Highlight of the day was watching the CCM go past big Ducati’s, 600/1000 Suzuki,s, R1’s etc. The owners all kitted out in full race leathers, thinking they were doing a Rossi on the corners only to see an old CCM go round the outside of them on the corners.
Yes he got blown away on the straight’s, but he was back on the pace in the corners, had a go on it myself, what a laugh, 115mph on the straights, corner speed unbelievably quick. (Subject to size of balls).
Hehe nice one mate!! yeah trackdays are all about getting the most from your machine, and having a laugh!! seems like you achieved both there! Shame about the aprilila though…oops glad rider is ok though

Saw your mate on the SRAD600, nice clean bike, I think I lapped him twice in one session (Only joking), I must say he did look fast, I did have trouble getting past his sticky out feet and those extra extra wide toe sliders.
As he said a great day for everyone, slow group, fast group and the I feel like like Rossi brigade.
