is any one else on this ,
I will be tea drinking sat in the Sun watching
Yes. My dealer - Hyside MC’s had a block of spaces to sell on it.
Is it correct that the evening is 2 groups?
No wonder they are known as crash fests!
the last fe eve i did , it was 3 groups and i got 6 sessions oh who cares , lol im off to css now to learn somthing hopefully , and put into practice tommorow night
:D:cool:
Pete, I did one a few weeks ago and they had two groups only. There was only one crash a low side coming out of druids and somone ran on into the gravel there as well, kept it upright but had to be pulled out.

I was at Brands earlier today the evening session looked like a bit of a crash fest
I was trying out my new found skills from css, didnt push the bike that hard just practised what id been taught. felt much smoother and i didnt come any where near highsiding today , and thanks to a very knowledgeable bloke that was up there i now no why im finding it hard to put the power on smoothly, and /was spinnig up the rear and sliding out I have NO THROTTLE FREEPLAY :w00t::w00t::hehe:
THANKS , mate , you know who you are
only thing was made me really consious of it . i just thought my bike was like that . so learnt another new thing today as well :)… didnt buy any photos today as i knew i was doing better as i wasnt so knackerd and i wasnt pushing the bike to its limits like i normally do.
great fun css is well worth it ive learnt more in one day with them than i have in doing 12 trackdays pound for pound i think ill save up and do level two instead of paying for another 12 trackdays to get no where fast
It started as a crash fest, but the last 2 sessons were OK.
Si, what group did you ride in? I looked for you but didn’t spot you.
I got called into the pits for close passing, I’m pretty sure we were both upright and I gave the guy 2 meters space. Simon from FE was understanding and I just went out again next session.
i was in your group every time we went out you where 3 or 5 bikes infront of me in pit lane , i must of been doing ok cause you never came past me and i passed quiet a few bikes :D:D:Dwhy did they call you in ,in the briefing it was a minimum of 6ft space to over take so you were at least 20cm over that according to your estimated passing space:D:D;) lol 6ft = 1,82 meters?
I’ve no idea. I was told the marshall at post 9 had called it in.
Glad you got on OK. I don’t think the evening session will be a regular thing for me. It’s 11 years since my last one and I’d quite happily wait the same time 'till the next one.
Did you notice there was guys with novice bibs on in our group?
It was like whacky racers out there! So many different lines and speeds.
I did have quite a fun time chasing one of the guys who had come down from the shop, he was on a R1 but he mainly races classics. I’d realised that anything like a clear lap wasn’t gonna happen, lines were out the window, so it was a case of go out, have fun wherever you can, and just make sure you don’t scare anyone / cut them up.
I must admit, I really enjoyed it that bit! I’d done 134 miles during the day and TBH felt a bit tired.
So I suppose, at the end of it, I DID enjoy the PM, although I’d rather pay the extra and do the day.
I was supposed to ride the RC8R demo, but a few other guys wanted a ride and seeing as I’m not buying till the fall, I let it pass.
hey pete nice to meet you yesterday…long day for you, all day and an evening sesh !!!
Likewise Paul. You seemed to be getting on well.
More to come?
yes deff pete…specially as the instructor gave me a bolloc*** then realised it was my first track day…put me up in groups strait away…more smooth and flowing in the faster groups…even better when lookin at the photos and some guy next to me said “boy that guy was quick on the blade” ,when it was me on me 600 :w00t:
I think that was probally the buisiest evening session ive done this year, and yeah guys in green bibs in inters/ fast not just 1 but loads what was that all about i thought maybe they where racers , till i see some of them going round:hehe: like you say was a bit of wacky races, i just wish i would of had my camera running as i would of caught a few silly mistakes to post up , the funniest one i saw was at druids all the way round there was a late o6 ish gixer chasing me got round paddock upto druids and he came flying past me , it was at that point while he was still upright i thought to my self theres no way he’s going to make it!! and sure enough as i peeled into druids he was still braking going round druids tried his best but as i see him heading towards the gravel all i herd was ARRRHHHHHhhhh ,then as i came round the next time yellow flag being waved blue gixer sitting in the gravel and rider sitting behind the barrier . he was actually in my garage and had the bike bought back , and it didnt look badly damaged & he was walking ok, herd him saying somthing about his throttle gettting stuck open :doze:. still no harm done . but reckon he wont enter druids that fast again. just wish would of caught it on cammera could of sent him a copy for a momento lol.i will still do some evening ones if im avalible when there on because its only 5 mins for me to get there , and i need all the practice i can get for next year as i intend to move into the fast group.last two sessions where the emptiest , maybe beacuse half of them had crashed out by then lol:D:D;)
