Braided Hose Brake Bleed Tips

Just fitted braided hoses to my GSXR750 K4 and it was a real Pain in the backside to bleed the Fronts. The rears Bled in seconds but the front was a struggle as i couldn’t bleed the master cylinder.

Here is a little tip that may come in handy if you suffer the same problems. (it may not be the correct way and i can’t take any responsibility for any problems, it’s just something that worked for me)

I got a syringe full of Brake fluid and injected the fluid down the bleed nipple on the Master cylinder and loosened off the Caliper nipples till the fluid started flowing through them. Once this was done i was then able bleed the master cylinder properly and then the Calipers properly. (as specified in owners manual)

This may help anyone that has this issue too.

I use this thing called a ‘little bleeder’ - it has a non return valve thingy which makes the whole process really easy - I wrote a thread on it earlier:

Yes i had one of those too but the Master Cylinder just really wouldn’t bleed, no matter what i done i couldn’t get the fluid through

Yeah - I had exactly the same problem - but as Scorch mentions in the thread - if you prime the valve with some brake fluid first it works fine.

Cool, good to know.

Yeah - I had trouble with it at first - but have a go with it with the valve full of fluid - it works like a charm then
