Last year I was commuting 80 miles a day and bought a 950SM. Fantastic bike for distance and general commuting - now I’m doing maybe 25 a day into and out of London and, while the KTM was good and generally fun, it felt like it was too much on town roads. Doesn’t stop it running rings around the sportsbikes tho.
Yesterday, I had the bike serviced by Bracken. They did a fantastic job, doing a few extra jobs for me, including fixing my brake pedal that got ripped off in December and fitting a smaller front sprocket. I’ve done this to most of my bikes, but never got around to it on the KTM for some reason.
Holy cow - the difference is amazing - the bike feels 100lbs lighter and is noticably faster. With the suspension twiddled for me, it feels much more like a supermoto and less like a lardy tourer.
Thanks guys!
