First I know theres loads of boys in blue on here so ill start by saying im not having a dig in general but as this specific instance.
Now thats the polite bit out of the way…
Motherfuckingggggg cnuts!!!
Set off to work this morning a few mins late and get stopped by some ridiculas but police enforced traffic survey. Wouldnt have complained but the fooookin volenteer staff had no idea how to used their bloody computer widgets so it took an age to answer a few simple questions.
But that aint the half of it!!!
On the way back home at 5 the fooooooking idiots are still at it… but now theyve created 4 miles of tail back in the other direction. Ive never seen such a car park on the Heathrow ring road A3044.
Drivers must have been stuck on the A3044 for about 1-1.5hrs when normally it would take 10mins. What an uter **** up!!!
I made a point at giving them a gob full when i got to the front.
Use your tiny brains! dickheads… Move the cones let the traffic flow and when it returns to normal ask your fuuuucking questions
by the way the questions were simpily where are you coming from with exact details and where are you going. These muppets take 5mins to sort this series of questions out!!!
That’s the Dept of Transport or similar - the Police are only helping out as you’re obliged by law to ‘assist’
It’s not fair but they have to do it - imagine 6 hrs plus pulling over cars / bikes. I’m not surprised you feel annoyed but it’s the dudes with the clipboards…
no sympathy what so ever! Its about traffic management!!! thats why im pissed! the police were there to make sure things went smoothly for the department of transport!
Actually you’re wrong…having been unfortunate enough to spend nearly 8 hours of my life wasted doing crap like this - the entire scene is organised by the Dept of Transport - they decide how it’s arranged, where & when to do it, and crucially where the poxy cones are put - unless the DoT staff were breaking the law or putting themselves or others in danger there’s nothing the police can do about it… as a police officer your role is to stop whoever the DoT staff tell you to, and to prevent a breach of the peace by the irate motorists who are having their day ruined…
I take it we have a fair few job on here then, always fun for debating.
unfortunatly as has been said, DFT, VOSA and the like appear to be a law unto themselves and just plot up wherever and whenever they like and cause chaos.
VOSA like to set up in Purfleet alot and pull trucks into car parks and leaving their signs in the road, always helpful
These things are so badly “organised”, I’m only surprised that a policeman, or several, has not been charged with throttling a DoT/VOSA/DVLA nerd yet.
O.K. If I’m instructed to stop by a policeman, I have to stop. Do I have to talk to the twerp with the clipboard?
I always lie anyway just to get my own back. Give them any old start point/any old destination.
The purpose of journey question is always good for invention. “On my way to visit my mother in the cancer ward of ??? hospital”. “Have an appointment at the clap clinic”. “Got to get home to find the girlfriends ear ring before my wife does”.
As far as I can recall, no you don’t need to talk to him, other than to politely say I really don’t have the time and inclination to answer your pointless and intrusive questions… now go and spend some money repairing the roads
If you’re rude to them you might expect to have a discussion with one of the police officers… and depending on their mood (which is likely to be bad given what crap they’re doing) you might get a free mot and a discussion about your driving licence, insurance and mot…
They were doing this down Knightsbridge a couple of weeks ago. The cops didn’t seem best impressed with the duty they pull. I asked them what they were doing and the reply:
“Westminster Council are doing some sort of survey. We have to be hear because they aren’t allowed to manage the traffic and pull in the road users, so we have to do and get the flack for it.”
With Johnse1 here, the police should have the control and not the DoT. Just shows you that the diplomates are running the country! Give the police back the powers that they should have, including getting rid of all the paperwork, and also, make it very hard to sue them, and then maybe the country will get back to the place it should be. Rant over - well almost, don’t get me going on emigrants
