Crazy, huh?

My Fiancee tells me that at night on a friday or saturday the police close off the street so that they can do it under supervision. sounds like a good night.

Maybe its a topic we should lobby Boris on:D:D:D

bet the govenment wish they haden allow the release of the fast and furious now:D

crap cars, crap roads but they still do it

but the true is in Poland you can’t properly race anywhere. we’ve got only 1 track in the whole country and there are problems with it as locals are wanting to close it because of noise.
so where to go ? streets is the only left spot

Similar problems in this country, I understand Avon Park/Shakespeare County raceway is having similar issues with complaints about noise and I’ve no doubt Santa Pod suffers from its fair share of killjoy locals!

Doesn’t Brands have noise restrictions for similar reasons?

Funny though I can’t help thinking that people who live near these tracks would be the first to complain to the Police if the tracks closed and the people who do bike/car track days started making more use of the roads!

Ive just come back from Brands! Didnt seem to be any noise restriction when the Super Aguri F1 car was going round - mad that they test cars and bikes on a track day really!

My fave tale of utter stupidity of the kiljoy variety is the muppet who used to own Croft up North. After 20 something years of managing the place, he retired, bought a house 150 yards away from the first corner, and now spends his hours lobbying the council for curfews and fewer races, “cos the noise bothers him”.

What an utter POOO-NIS!

Sounds like a good idea.
Perhaps the revenue generated from the hordes of spectators pays for the wreckage recovery.

Street racing should be made more of a problem here so that the police would have to reconsider opening up a town centre for the deprived racers of South East England.

Which would be the best place though?
Where are the roads the most suitable?

They should do that here up and down Park Lane.
