Please help us (everyone) to fit in well with the locals and each other. Parking will no doubt be tougher due to the expected popularity, so just bear that in mind when pulling up. Turn up early to be assured of a place to park. Remember you can park all the way down to the entrance of Stoney Street, the exit road to the left, straight on near the restaurants, etc.
Please can folks make sure that they do not park at all on the market. Some folks turned up last week and were parking on market property i.e. direcdtly outside the ginger pig and under neath Roast. I have never seen these people before and am conscious that we will be getting accused of bikers parking everywhere when they are themselves nothing to do with LB.
It went down like a lead balloon when the numpty on the grey gxr did a rolling burnout as this group left. No more thanks. Please please please do not do this. It will just spoil it for everyone else.
In terms of the man that has the flower stall, he also doesn’t like us parking outside of his shop when he is open.
You know the rules and we have to abide by them if we are to carry on meeting down there.
Yea, ‘rules’ that apply to everyone.
I know some of the ‘rules’, but I’m not sure I know all of them.
Perhaps LB should elect a ‘parking usher’ whose responsibility it would be to keep the position of bikes in line with the wishes of the Market and surrounding businesses.
This might improve communication on site.
Or perhaps leaflets with the ‘rules’ could be distributed, as not everyone who attends actually reads the posts on LB (nor should they be obliged to).
This is why is just doesn’t fall down to the staff, people should be proactive in making sure they park in the right place and also letting others know the same too.
Yep, just tell each other where to park, much easier that way. I can see marshalls just pissing everybody off even if their well intentioned. Who wants to be told what to do !
But then who do the LB marshals have sway over? Only LB members or any bikers there?
How about push bikes?
Will they have digital cameras to take photographic evidence of infractions?
Will offenders forego their rights to post for 60 days?
As has been said if you’re a regular and see people parking in places likely to cause us problems just mention it to them - expalin our situation. As a community its best for people to do this on their own initiative (many people already do this and it’s appreciated) rather than sit back and expect someone else to shoulder the responsibility.
We’re all grown ups here, and we’ve been meeting at borough for along time now…and i think sincere has repeated the message countless amount of times that if we don park in the proper places…we will loose Borough forever…
it took quite awhile for us to find this place, and MACP has as received alot of flack from the council over the past year about us…its our meet, and if people want to come along that fantastic, but they must not park in any areas that may cause conflict…simple as…
here’s a tip for newbies…when you approach, look at were everybody else has parked…theres you cue.;).
were in real danger at the moment to bing shifted on as were not very popular there at the moment…this is a fact…and its looming over staff here as we speak…
so please…if you wanna burn out…join us after when we all go to Chelsie bridge…your more then welcome to bang one out there…but please…not borough…its not that kind of meet…
as to all our members…we owe it to LB to keep borough going…lets try to guide ppl the right way yea?
