I’ve just received the moto boots I ordered and they feel like plaster casts on my feet! IE can’t move the ankles at all, as they are 90% plastic I can’t see them freeing up much.
What make of boots are you guys using?

I have alpinestar tech 10s and im gona stick metal plates on the bottom to save the soles, no not covering the whole of the sole before anyone comes up with some wise ass remark :PWhat boots did you get?
These, guess you get what you pay for :w00t:
I got TXC S-Race and I love them £190 ish.
Bought em with my first bike 7 months ago and they are faultless…after spraying a little wd40 to stop the squeeks:P
They will get better with time.
I got sidi-crossfire, very happy with them, apart from colour (white - not any more), but got them for £150 at bike show so can not complain.

Yeah as DRB said they will break in but dont expect lots of movement cause they are decind to be reasonably solid to give you the protection you need in MX. Your never gona be able to flex your ankle/foot that much. Id say the crossfires actualy give the most movent ive found in any MX boot but i found the tech 10s more comfortable thats why i chose them although yeah they come with a high price tag
i have the oxtar tcx supermotard boots and they do loosen up after a while just stick with them for a bit:)
I’ve had a pair of Sidi Flexforce (forerunner of Crossfire) for over 6 years now - they were comfy from the off.
(I find proper mx/sm boots very confidence inspiring - you know you can bin it without f*cking your feet up. And you soon get used to changing gear in them.)
Just received a new pair of Alpinestar tech 8’s, feel like slippers on and there is movement at the ankle, love em’ :w00t:
