boots for winter?

hi everyone, just checking what people are wearing to cover their feet when is cold.

Im thinking of a buying a new pair of boots and would like some feed back, I’m using my old cat boots with thermal socks put still gets cold.

any suggestions??

thanx

I wear Sidi black rain, still gets cold too ;[

Flip flops

TCX comp S Goretex and thick socks

Check the Ladl/Adli ski equipment sales and buy their snow/snowboarding socks. About £4 a pair and your feet never get cold.

think I’ve got those too. I just keep wriggling my toes and live with it. as long as my core is warm I’m not that fussed.

Though you could go for a pair of those heated insoles.

Sidi Canyon, and not had a cold toe all winter, even wear them walking around in the snow, waterproof and warm.

I’ve seen loads of love for TCX Infinity boots, and I’ve ordered meself a pair, though they’re not here yet.

Yeah, it’s bareable. Wouldn’t recommend them for this weather though. Gonna feel much nicer in summer with thin socks.

think i got the same too. grab a pair of football socks put them over your normal socks and bobs your uncle, no cold feet on the way to work and toasty feet at work if you can’t be bothered to take them off

Alpinestars SMX with thermals socks, never had an issue with cold feet!!

my trouble is I got boots to fit. so with thick socks on my feet are constricted and end up colder!

must admit it was a little bit on the tight side when trying to do them up. just thought it must’ve been all those mince pies ive eaten that went erm…straight to my feet

I’ll add another vote for decent socks. Snowboard and hiking socks don’t need to be super thick to make them work better than normal socks, it’s down to the material used.

The boots I use are Hein Gericke GTX Boots if I’m popping in and out of jobs all day and Sidi B2 Goretex for longer journeys or when I know I’m in one place all day.

The Sidi’s are a lot warmer as they fit further up the leg and stop the wind hitting the legs.

Daytona Road Star GTX … warm & dry!

+1

Cost a bit more for the initial outlay, but quite simply the highest quality & best value winter boots you’ll get.

Sidi Crossfires  i dnt care if they are coldish but they protect my legs

Lidl ski socks and BMW “Adventure” boots. If it gets proper cold, Lidl ski socks and BMW “Santiago” boots.

(Or Infinity or Gerick equals. They’re all built in the same boot factory. Reportedly Diadora’s)

I have the same ones. My feet have never been cold in them, even in thinish socks. They weren’t too hot in the summer either, and the most waterproof boot I’ve had
