Body Armour

Is worth its weight in Gold

Courier did a sudden right turn and took me out

Somehow managed to stay upright and bike is fine (engine protectors worth their weight in Diamonds) but leaking a lot of oil

The guy was very apologetic and said he just did not look

Nice guy on an what I think was an R1 was a witness but the company would prefer to pay in cash

Moral of the story after the numerous threads we have had on what to wear is wear a suit of armour

Drove away from accident so can’t be all bad

Safe riding

Big Bad Ox

good to hear that you’re fine mate.

lucky escape then, plus shows why its a good idea to wear proper gear no matter how hot it is

Only too true. I’ve just fitted hip armour to my summer trousers. Wish I had it when I hit diesel a couple of weeks ago! Armour makes a big difference.

Nearly happened to me on the way back from BM. Going along Baywaters Road a guy on the inside was slowing and indicating to pull out (as they do so that they can pull off to go in the one way system at Lancaster Gate).

Not wanting to get squished I flash him to let him out, and he then promptly tries to do a u-turn! The traffic coming the other is far to heavy to finish the manoeuvre blocking both lanes. This I wasn’t expecting and had to halt.

I shouted “What the fugg are you doing! A u-turn on a four lane road is just fugging stupid.”

Well he heard me, and I think that he just saw the Hi-Vis, and he straighten out and zoomed off.

The look on his face was priceless.

wasnt the hi-vis kev, you left the flip top up and he saw ya fuggly mug :):D:P

Yeah i saw your bruises! Not pretty! What did you use and how did you fix them in? Maybe a youtube video would be good lol :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve got HG summer trousers, so bought HG armour. Just slipped into the pockets with no issues, you don’t even notice it! No idea when you saw the bruises… you got a webcam in my house??

I got hit by a van last year and owe an awful lot to my knox back protector as I went skidding along the road after the ninja. It saved my bacon!

glad you’re okay big bad ox

touch wood i’ve not had a serious off yet, but always wear dainese back protector, CE approved armour in trousers and jacket.

the spine protector’s only 8 months old but the elastic’s gone already - shoddy material :frowning:

Just wish my engine had better armour!

Looks like i have cracked the engine casing as Oil is pishing out.

Left at garage but without a bike for a few days while they get the parts in

god i hate getting the train

Ache a bit but pretty much unscathed so no big deal really

Enjoy your weekend guys

there are companys that sell heavy duty engine cases for racing bikes, might be worth a call
