My 600 got 5bhp extra with a decat pipe, pc3 with custom remap and a k&n airfilter.
You won’t know the difference except in the money department.
It’s a false return on an engine of that size. Only 1000cc and above will really feel the difference in the real world
Depends on the exhaust, those that increase power by more than 5bhp can increase your premium, which is just what you are looking for.
chains are an arse aren’t they, but you could do what most people do, and just ignore it, or slightly better, fit a scott oiler?
Oh and the insurance on a power commander added £70 to my £500 insurance 
Well sounds like you aren’t going to change your bike model. Not sure I agree that buying a newer one will make any difference (I meant buy another model of bike), unless there has been a change in the design? Anyway, if you’re keeping an 800S one way or another, you’re probably best off asking specific 800 questions here:
