At the risk of repeating what someone else may have said on here already (I haven’t read all the topics, sorry) did you know that you can report bad roads, spillages, potholes etc to the BMF. Just log onto the site and send in a pic or a report and they will automatically send it to the local council, thus making them liable if anyone has an accident caused by the road mess in question after its been reported. The link gets sent directly to the council.
It’s worth doing. The local councils need these roads brought to their attention.
