Ok, I listen to my ipod when I’m riding and have a remote on my handle bars to change tracks etc…I was thinking about buying a bluetooth attachment for it, and some bluetooth headphones. Now, I know that these will obviously link, but will the headphones link to more than one device, say, a phone? The headphones will obviously need a microphone so I can talk, but will the headphones link to the phone as well as my ipod?
I could obviously buy a bluetooth helmet etc… but still left with the same connection problem… more than 1 device.
Thanks in advance for help and recommendations. Bluetooth numpty.
Don’t know whether you can connect to 2 b’tooth devices at once (which I think is what you’re asking). Alternative is to use a phone with built in MP3 player, perhaps?
If you’re looking for a receiver, maybe have a look at this one:
You are correct, I was just wondering whether 2 devices can connect to one bluetooth wiress headphone set. My phone is an Mp3, but I have a wireless remote for my ipod which enables me to switch the music off when required. Didnt really want to go to the expense of a brand new helmet, and didnt want to have to stick anything to the outside of my current helmet. Will see if I can connect 2 devices to my current bluetooth headset tonight, then I shall buy a bluetooth transmitter for my ipod. Thanks for your help.
Have just potentially thought of a way round it using my fm transmitter and my phone will see if that works.
Sony do some in ear ones which would be great as they would have th microphone for the phone and if it linked into the ipod bluetooth transmitter, that would certainly cut down on bulk and wires.Just need to establish whether they will connect to two devices.
I have a Garmin sat nav, bluant headset and sony ericsson P990 phone.
I can connect both at the same time. I go to the phone then connect to the sat nav, then got to the sat nav and connect to the headset.
If a call comes through it appears on the sat nav, press accept and you’re talking.
May not work with all different types of bluetooth equipment but it can be done.
I also have voice dialing on the mobile. So if I’m stuck at the Blackwall Tunnel, I just say “Call Betty” and it dials. I can then ask my friend to pick my son up from school.
Also have 999 as a voicedial in case need to call them.
