I took my gilera stalker out for the first time the other day after months of rebuilding it with my father i was doing about 25 mph and it cut out. I made sure there was petrol in the tank then tried the kick start but it was solid so i pushed it back to my home my dad took the engine out and found out that the small end bearing located in the piston had broke and the little pins have come out and one decided to force its way up the barrel bounce off the cyilinder head (just missing the spark plug) and shoot into the top of the piston so A 5 pound part has caused A 50 pound part. bloody italian 2 strokes perfect when there running but a bugger when the smallest thing goes wrong
