Bloody clutch and brake bleeding

Why does the lever always feel totally different! It makes me question my work as it never feels as firm as it did before, even though my dad reckons its firmer than ever!

Must be some mental thing, anyone else find it?

Every single time it happens to me :w00t:

I find thats its the mind playing up.

I bleeded my brakes and spent 4 hours LOL

Then I wasn’t sure it was bleed and ended giving it to Honda who charged me £50.

When the bike was returned, the guy told me that had no air at all, well gutted!

Spot on appletwist .

If you’ve “done it by the book”, it’s probably spot on. If it’s feeling pretty good, anything else is probably mind games.

Struggled with this the first time I ever tried it, threads on here somewhere.

Anyway its easy now. Cable tied the brake lever to the handlebar overnight to get the last few stuck air bubbles out of there… Brake feeling was as firm as ever.

Got one of those brake bleeding vacum kits for £33 and once you get used to it you can change the front brakes on a CBR in half an hour tops. (much much less if everythings laid out and ready to go before you start timing - yes I know I’m sad :P)

I use a big syringe and pull the fluid through from the calliper bleed nipple. Works a treat and takes 5 mins.
