Blinded by the sun

Dark visor does the trick for me.  With pinlock insert.  Now using morning and afternoon and it is aces.  Had it last year and have found it great for low sun and bright sunshine rideouts.

I got one for my XR 1100 from racevisors… I think I’ve used it more than the clear one. I used to move one pinlock from clear to dark visor. Eventually that rendered it useless so now I keep it in that. Found that I typically use the dark one when it’s warm so misting not so much of a problem and can always crack the visor open (no rain if it’s sunny).

Can’t say it’s been too much of an issue…

I think there's a design flaw in the older shoei helmets where the pinlock can rub against the top seal when you open/close the visor. The new helmets are meant to resolve this. nich
Yeah, that's definitely the case with mine - there's a dirty, scratched up strip across the top of it.

My AGV used to do that

but my new Shoei doesn’t it was the first thing I checked before I brought it

So that's what destroyed mine!
I have the oleophobic pinlock insert for my XR1100, which works well.   AndyCr15
Oil resistant?

Flip front … bright sun … flip up the front  =sun visor

Or as seen yesterday on an old boy out on his c90 … sticky reflictive tape across top section of his open face helmets visor … pushes it up a few notches and no sun but still eye protection

I have this one: Shark S700

Less than half the price of GT Air. The sunvisor that comes down is plenty low for me. But I guess you can always try it out in a shop just to be sure.

Its OK, its a fleeting problem. Just in case Im wrong, Ive  invested my pension in photochromic eyes.
