Going North through the tunnel this lunchtime I saw a sign saying “New speed camera trial - no enforcement”.What they have installed are two sets of high level, forward facing cameras, one set in the approach just after the “gatehouse” and the other set just before the A13 turnoff on the other side.
They appear to be of the average speed type.
Being forward facing they won’t affect us directly but when (not if) they become operational it’s going to really slow down the traffic in the tunnel.
