well its that time where tmobile pretend to gve the earth when really theyre giving you what ur entitled to…and the blackbery bold and g1 phone are the top contenders
i know lots of people wit the bold, looks like a really good unit, but has anyone played around with th google phone? if so what dd u think?
also if not the bold what other blackerry or pda type unit would u recomend?
I have a Curve 8310, and I have to say it’s the best phone i’ve ever had. Load google maps & mail, facebook and installed a 4gb sd card, it syncs against work email personal email and get web access.
Have seen the Bold in action and have to say the screen is fantastic. I would leave the Android based phones a bit longer. Allow the platform to mature and also it will allow more apps to be developed.
Holding out for one of these - can’t argue with 32 Gb, upgradable to 48 Gb (although it is a Nokia and some people hate those; I’ve only ever owned Nokias)
next time I see you I will be throwing said despenser at you while you are on your little red and yellow push along trike with the bucket on the back and I’m going past on a real motorbike!
the last nokia i ownsed was the 6230, absolut classic…imho nokia started getting bit bland and flimsy after that…untill the n75/n95 and the slide came out…that on does look quite nice though! whens it comming out?
lol, grandpa dude, i would leave u in the dust on my 3 geared chopper…in 3rd gear!!! ur mobility scooter wont beat me under any circumstance!!
Spooky! I have just this second got back from my local Vodafone store, went to take a look at the Storm v Bold…tried the Storm as they had one working in the store - pants! My fingers were so cold I couldn’t get the touch screen to work properly as it works on heat and pressure (or something like that).
Tried the Bold - as Strange says - great! Will be getting one before the weekend Ooohhhh will be able to access LB from the train in the mornings, how exciting!!!
unfortunaely the bold is out of the question, as they want to increaase my line rental to 45 pounds, but theyve offered me the curve 8900 which looks quite good…
viggen that phone does look snazzy and a half…wanna accidently leav it in the ps3 box?:P:D:P
Being a cheapskate I just got an LG KP500 Cookie on a £15 contract from CPW. (Or you can buy it for less than £100 on a payg). I reckon its about 75% of the functionality of the others mentioned for about 1/3 of the price. CPW are selling them by the bucketload apparently. No 3G and the camera is only average, but otherwise, I love it. And it only weighs 89g.
LG Cookie sells 20,000 per week at Carphone Warehouse alone

LG’s prepay touch-screen device, the Cookie, is selling 20,000 per week at Carphone Warehouse alone, Mobile can reveal.
The device’s strong sales have come about despite a relatively modest advertising push; however, LG was in talks with its creative marketing agencies in December to devise a second drive, which will go live early in the New Year.
One Carphone staffer told Mobile : ‘The Cookie has been flying off the shelves. It’s been such an easy phone to sell. You show it to customers and they can’t believe that it’s only £100. It’s surprising that there aren’t more phones out there like this with customers looking to spend less at the moment.’
you’re wrong there mate the sony X1 now holds that crown:P check out mobiles.co.uk i just got a 18 month contract 750 minutes unlimited texts, free evening and weekend internet and 6 months half price. normally £40 a month.:w00t:
1st half of 2009, apparently. No sign of it on the Vodafone website but I have already started my annual campaign of harrassment to get them to release the latest Nokia effort
