Saw a bunch of City of London coppers pulling cyclists over for jumping lights this morning on Tower Hill. Oh yes! Well done, lads and lasses.

Cyclist jumping the lights!! Unbelievable. There will be bikers in the green cycle box next, and before we know it - anarchy on the streets.
I regret that I wasn’t there to watch. Haha.
I trust the cyclists responded with their usual humility and good grace when it’s pointed out they’re not obeying the road laws and are potentially dangerous.
And about bliddy time…any chance you got a pic of the demise!?
Unfortunately not.
But there were several police persons (male and female) done up in cycle gear, with their police cycles leant up along some railings. As I passed there were at least 2 cyclists been given a talking to, and one of them was having their details recorded.
It is a very busy and dangerous junction - as I am sure all who go that way will know - and the danger caused by cyclists will be more to themselves than anyone else, I reckon.

I know its a bit of a joke innit, cos’ all ‘us’ bikers are perfect and obey every highway code - never once going faster than the speed limit, with our road legal cans and our perfectly sized numberplates. Not to mention gambling on an amber - mother fuçker please!

Good to see the police taking action on this. However, let he/she who is without sin cast the first stone… I watched 4 bikers go through red lights this morning. Each time they came from behind me and if I can stop, surely they can as well…
I was thinking more along the lines of ‘judge not, lest you be judged first’.
I always used to get annoyed when bicycles would come from behind and stop in front of me at red lights - which impeded my take off - a cycling mate explained that it’s to avoid breathing in the fumes coming out of the back of the bike - it’s worth getting the other person’s perspective on this stuff.

i think most bikers ride round with this sort of ‘i rule the road’ aire about them.
i wouldnt wish any type of biker getting pulled. engine or no engine. we’re all the same really.

The difference is that we are not campaigning and lobbying to get push bikes of the buss lane… Although now that you mention it, I think that unless that have at lease the theory code and an insurance they should be bane for all but private roads… Now that is an idea! ~Thanks el Diablo…
