Dunno what you lot think but Silverstone discriminates against bikers.
We’ve been twice and the system is shite.ride in and park in a secure bike park NO we watched a group of polish bikers ride out unchecked !!And the bike park is muddy hardcore yes all that shiny tarmak and they stick us on gravel.
Unload luggage from bikes and wait for a poxy quad to pick up you and luggage and transport to campsite, in our case about half a mile and 50 mins.
So get dumped in field with panniers tents etc. erect tents change out of riding gear and leave all valuables inc expensive rding gear and helmets in panniers in tent.
Car vans campers and anything else gets to park on campsite next to tents but not bikes their answer bikers arn’t responsable enough to park on site.
Then to add insult to injury they won’t allow us stupid bikers onto campsite to load up we have to wait for said quad again to ferry every biker with gear to bikepark another 90 mins if your lucky…
Wot do you lot think ?? us were not camping there again we’ll spend our bucks at a proper bike venue
Sounds crap to me, maybe they should let the hells angels run it cause the security at the Bulldog is great :w00t::hehe:
I have one coment on your post though… Why highlight it was polish bikers? Why not just say they let a group out unchecked? Does it matter the fact they were polish or not?.. Didnt think so
As a Pole (and a biker!) living i England for as long as I remember, whenever I have driven back in Poland - it scares the hell out of me - 70% of roads are scarry ex-comunist roads, ‘train-tracked’ due to the harsh conditions and about 50% of the vehicles are eastern block engineered. Now the single element which causes my fear are polish drivers/riders - especially the sandal wearing ones who think they wear sandals because they are over and above everyone else in everything they do and will not be told their 20 year old Fiat 126 (which is kept on the road with garden wire, rivets & other improvised parts) is not something you should try to drive like an F1 car.
Also Poles are known to be generally sneaky/cunning.
I can confidently say I would have also singled out the departing bikers as Polish Bikers.
My issue is with what I feel is discrimination against bikers by Silverstone circuit I’m hardly going to discriminate on basis of ‘anything’. The point was that the bikes that rode out unchecked carried Polish plates they could have been ridden by thieves, black white or alien. I guess that by lack of response to my post no other LB’s have done Silverstone camping ???
