Biker Taxi

I know virgin were doing this service but I also saw addison lee company biker taxi. Is any LB member is a biker taxi rider? what is the pay like?

I was thinking about applying for that job also, a short while ago. As an alternative to Mini Cab driving…
I would imagine as your a taxi bike, you would still need a PCO license, " Public Carrige Office " who run the black cabs, and mini cabs.
Getting the licence costs about 350 quid " soz cant find me pounds sign "
The license involes you having a medical with an upgraded sight test, and a Criminal Records check. Sex and drug related crimes will stop you getting the license.
Medicals are done by your own doctor, and all have thier own prices for the pleasure )

The license takes ages to come, im still waiting for mine, 18 months after applying, so i have to apply every 2 months for a temporary licence, ( pain in the Ass ).

Virgin riders need a very good knowledge of London, they prefer you to learn the black cab runs/routes, i soon gave up on the idea after hearing that )

As for the money, i wouldnt imagine you would earn a lot in the winter, dont see many suits wanting to get wet on thier way to work, or rushing off to an important meeting.
I would thing Virgin would supply waterproofs for thier clients, but that seems a lot of hassle for a non biker to go through.

I could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time :stuck_out_tongue: )

I was chatting once to this taxi biker and he said its more fun…also you have a big bike. mini cab is **** unsocial hours and too many over heads…

Agree 100% with the Taxi biker m8, mini cabbing is crap now days, and getting worse :frowning:
