Hello fellow bikers!
I’m Kieran and live in Essex.
I’ve been a member on essexbikers (don’t shoot me!) for many years. Currently riding an R6, cracking bike over 12,000rpm!
Hopefully it won’t put anyones nose out of place by posting up about the company I’ll be working for in 2014.
JDK Tours will be taking people over from England and guiding them down to our converted stone house in the Haute-vienne region of France. We have a support van as well so you don’t have to carry your luggage.
I don’t want to sound like I’m just pushing the business so if anyone wants any more details, let me know and I’ll post up some more info and a web link.
Thanks Joby, Thats what we’re aiming for! After touring ourselves and being restricted by the restraints of having everything tied to the bike we’re hoping we can offer what would be the ideal solution for everyone.
www.jdktours.co.uk is our website. Hopefully all the information you need will be on there but if you’re unsure about anything feel free to send us an email and we’ll get back to you straight away.
GPS, kriega, bike, passport, cash, telescopic kosh, Down to eurostar, europes your oyster… No tour guide in the list! everyone pays, TDK go for free and make a few quid…
1down5up, Whilst you may have the knowledge to do that by yourself. From experience, not everyone does and not everyone has the confidence to do it. We offer a package deal so no one has to worry. Not everyone is the same, the best of luck to you on any future tours you go on.
No disrespect intended but I wish people would be brave enough to do it thereselfs as it is much more rewarding…And you might be able too call yourself a biker after doing a few trips…
Well maybe they will decide to do it themselves after we show them. The part of touring with us as well is that we know where some of the best roads in the region are! nothing like looking at those perfect twists and turns ahead.
Now I don’t know who designed your web site, but I can’t read and type from 10’ away as the type face is MASSIVE.
Also what’s with the dolly birds all over the shop, I guess your market will be 40+ born again bikers with loads of dosh and if the
wives see bikini clad babes they won’t let their hubbies do it
Coming home for Lunch isn’t restrictive around that area at all. There as so many different routes to take constantly. We have route cards as well so if anyone wanted to go off by themselves they’re more than welcome to take them as well as a map and explore at their own pace if they wish. They can take a packed lunch or choose to stop off at a restaurant.
1down5up, you certainly know what you’re doing there then, the roads in France are just totally amazing wouldn’ you say!?
The babes are just a bit of fun. No harm intended. We’re not after a particular market, everyone is welcome, we even have double rooms incase anyone wants to bring their wife, girlfriend, husband or boyfriend with them. From there, they can either both go out or the rider can go out for the day whilst the pilion stays at the house and soaks up the sun. Theres no set format for anyone to follow, its a holiday after all and no one wants to be told what they HAVE to do whilst on holiday
Rusty99, you refered to them as ‘bikini clad babes’ so I simply used the term that you did. I don’t think theres anything sexist about it. If you go to any motorbike show or look in a motorbike magazine, there are promo girls. Nothing wrong with that, if the woman thought it was sexist, they wouldn’t do it for a job. I’m sure there are a few woman on here and in the biking community who would love to see a good looking guy laying on a bike! haha
sounds pretty cool, best of luck to you mate. be careful taking your r6 over 12000revs though as mentioned. you can get an instant driving ban in france then you`d have to put your bike in the support truck and joby will have to carry his own pants.
Some of the riders on here may prefer to take their husbands, boyfriends, toy boys, sugar daddies etc. They’ll prefer to take their own motorcycles too
