The first one I saw was on wigmore st, I think he was hit by a taxi which was doing a U turn. I saw his boots lying in the street while he was being put in an ambulance on a stretcher all the oil from the bike was on the street .
The Second one really shook me about 4 ish I saw many police and ambulance on the begning of A40. I am not sure if it was pedestrian or biker…but he was in a bad way the ambulance crew was giving him cpr and pumping his chest…I think a truck was involved. Just dont want to see all this suffering and pain…
I’ve seen too many accidents recently, saw a lad get poleaxed by a white van on the marlebone road on friday and another biker down over the weekend.
The scene on the a40 last night when i was coming along from the other way was horrible, a shoe on the ground and lots of blood around, just topped off a horrible ride home. The marlyebone road accident was a pedestrian who was hit by the lorry. Stopped to give First Aid to a cyclist this morning near Oval. He had been riding like a loon head down ignoring red lights completely (riding across junctions whilst other traffic was entering the junction from other directions etc) and simply racing along at nearly 30mph. I got held at some lights, but caught up to him on the ground, bruised ribs probably, and almost certianly undertaking a car at speed which had slowed to turn left. Due to rule 183 the driver of the car will almost certainly take the rap. Told the police what I saw but I doubt it will make any difference.
I was there about 4ish too, thanks for clearing up what happened. RIP
