Biker cafes

Having been made redundant last week, I am planning a small solo trip to Scotland and back (more on this on another post). I wanted to plan the route in order to stop at biker cafes whenever possible, but I can’t find any comprehensive list of them. All I find is top 10 lists, but not all, or most of them.

Ideally, I’d like to chose my route on the spot and when hungry, or in need of biker warmth, I’d just head to the nearest cafe. A POI list for my satnav would be ideal.

Any ideas everyone?

Depending which way you go

Hartside is worth a stop for the cake alone

that’s cool tim, is there any way we can we add to these then?

and, anyone know how to bung the co-ordinates into a zumo?

Thanks Tim,

That’s exactly what I was looking for. I don’t mind recommendations, but I am really after is a list like yours. Not sure how comprehensive it is but if you let other add the missing ones we can get there. You can click on “collaborate” and either allow anyone to edit it, or add specific people.

Also, how about you use separate colored pins for the all-times bike cafes and the ones that are only for certain days?

As for export to satnavs as POIs I think there is a way to do this for Google maps. I’ll ook into it.

no worries they were ones that i have either visited myself :stuck_out_tongue: or that other people i knew on another forum which is what it was intended for other users to add their own etc … i also when doing it found other maps listed through google but some may be closed now etc

Cafe Map

Anybody got back copies of “The Riders Digest”?

Don’t know how long the series has been running, but they seem to feature a bike cafe each month. (Could take a while at that rate to cover even the home counties.)

I reckon Jetstream could add more than a few.

It would be a good map/list to have in the ride out bag.

re Google cafe map - Bury Hill with Mcdonalds and petrol station on site?

Not in the universe I inhabit.

Talking of Bury at the bottom of Bury hill the cafe by the river at Amberley is welcoming. The foods good and the queues shorter.

Think my mum has those for the last 30 years !

Will ask her and hae a shufty !

riders digest not readers digest lol :stuck_out_tongue:
