I bought the mag when they did this… and they didn’t manage to kill it
It might not of been under load, but it was stationary the whole time meaning it must of still heated up quite a lot with no cool air hitting it.

Contrary to that, a mate in Brighton has just had to rebuild the top end of his Yamaha 660 single (Yup. That’s the bomb proof one.) due to a small loss of oil. About a half litre loss.
One logical conclusion would seem to be that he should dump the single cylinder engine and fit a Kawasaki 4.
That should make an interesting SM.
