BIKE THEFT IN NORTH LONDON.. ** A MUST READ **

Hello LB’s…

I am so shocked with this weekends thefts…its unbelieveable…

As you all know my RSV Mille was stolen early Sat morning, and Highside’s Suzuki K6 was stolen Early Sun morning… Seeing as i live in Tottenham Hale, North London and Highside live’s in Palmers green/Winchmore Hill, North London, which are approx 3/4 miles from each other… I would say there are a team of professional bike theives operating around North London… As i mentioned in my previous post, there where 3 other reports from my area Sat about motorcycles being stolen, so thats 5 bikes in total that i know of…

All i can say and the reason for this post is… ANY ONE IN NORTH LONDON, OR SURROUNDING AREAS, PLEASE KEEP A VERY TIGHT EYE ON YOUR BIKES, AND IF POSS, IF ITS NOT, LOCK YOUR BIKE UP OUT OF SIGHT IN THE GARAGE, OR SOME ONE ELSE’S GARAGE…

BECAREFUL…

AARON

Think that says it all, be careful with your steeds. Thats not just North london area, thats everywhere.

Aaron… hoepfully one of the bikes has a tracker fitted and when its recovered will lead to all the others…either way mate hope u get ures back

I would love to wire up a garage with trip wired flame throwers so when the little chavs try and steal our bikes they get toasted like they were on a BBQ! Feckers!

Has anyone mentioned this to the police, and asked if they’re actually doing anything to try and stop these gangs? (Not police-bashing at all, would just like to know if there’s a special unit anywhere doing something about this…)

Time for that LB sting methinks, its been mentioned enough…

Ade

i’m in…

this has been mentioned before but guys if you do this without involving the police there are going to be consequences for yourselves as well…

Please think carefully how you want to do this.

Its so true…

I had someone call me today, bought an R1 with TRACKER already on, told him price to subscribe…‘forget it, cant be bothered!!’ was the reply!

Sorry, but is £119 a year too much to pay, if you have a chance of getting (for most people!) your pride and joy back?! Maybe I’m biased cos i work for TRACKER, but I think so!!

i spoke to police today, they are now fully aware of the situation… Hopefully they will do what needs to be done…

here, here…

balaclava’s and gloves!!!

Oh, they’re already hard at work:

What sort of security did you have?

chain etc??

was it parked on the street, secured to lampost etc??

would be helpful to know.

Mine had an alarm and imobiliser, steering lock was on, disc lock, chain and lock, ground anchor and was coverd up. All security was thatcham approved. Was parked in the front garden as all my bikes have been for the past 6 years.

Definitely up for that… Even just for the buzz…

how did you not hear anything, that must have taken time

Nope, 2 seconds to cut through a 5min attack tested thatcham approved chain. From the chain hitting the floor (alerting my mum) to her getting down stairs, it was in the road near the van. I was away racing if I had heard them and caught them I would probably be in the nick now!

ah you wasnt there, understand now… sorry dude must be infuryating but is your bike insured to be outside my insurance has a garage clause if its at my house betwwenn set hours it has to be in the garage
