thieving f**ing shtbags have stolen my mates bike last night in Galleons Reach (e16).
2006 Black Kawasaki 636
Reg WX06 DYG
bike had R&Gs, double bubble screen and small plate. otherwise very much stock looking.
bike was chained using an almax, in a private gated underground carpark. Apparently they attacked the metal girder it was chained to and removed everything.
If anyone has any info please let me know

Its a slim chance but hope your mate gets its back, ill keep a lookout. Its crazy what lengths these thieves go to youd think it would be safe with an Almax around a metal post! I assume it wasnt alarmed, would have made a racket in an underground car park.

Sorry to hear this…Hope someone saw something what with a big metal object dangling by a chain attached to a bike.
Was there no CCTV in the car park?
yeah, sorry about that B. realised how it looked after posting, but couldn’t edit the title. maybe one of the mods can make it more clear?
to be honest i didn’t see the girder structure before this happened, but believe it had heavy duty bolts in places which they would have disassembled. not the wisest choice in retrospect.
unfortunately no other security devices in place other than the factory immobiliser. he did use a bike cover. no cctv in place (its not a high end build) but given previous experiences with cctv, its not as much use as you’d think. They have been able to bust people attacking my place tho (car orientated theft) but still, enough to make you jumpy.
he’d suspected people had been looking at the bike on previous occassions. he’d tried putting in a ground anchor but ran into probs trying to drill enough depth for the anchor bolts so had made do with what was there.
Sorry to hear - at least that’s another good review for Almax. Just always need to sort out the weak link in your security arrangements (no pun intended - well not much)
I’ll keep my eyes open. bad news, bike thieves should be hung, drawn and quartered.
