But to tell you the truth it has proven to be well worth it. Lately the bike has suffered with some serious juddering between 4 and 5 thousand revs. This was proven to be the engine sproket and the fact that the chain was well f*"%ed, and the carbs needed doing.
The reason for me posting this is that Laguna Motorcycles have done a blinding job on my bike.
Do any of you service your own or is it more worth while getting a dealer to do ??
Hello and welcome by the way. I work on bikes myself, that way i dont have to bend over for the dealer and i know the job has been done. Get a haynes and give it a go.
Very nice always good to have someone who knows what there doing to look over the bike for you
I’ve had my 16k service not long ago, it cost me the earth but then it was my fault for going to Cheswick Honda in the first place lol. I though the bike was running really well before I had put it in and I was in for a hugh shock when I got it back. The service was top notch and the bike felt 10000x’s better
I think for my next service I shall do it myself as its only oil and oil filter, I have a K&N air filter so I don’t have to worry about that and just have to make sure no nuts of bolts are missing. The chain and sprokets have loads of life left in them so there good Also it will save me loads of money, will just run it past a friends garage to make sure everything else is ok.
