bike parking london

just a thought , working in a ncp today and looking at the motorcycle parking bays , NCP have provided wall loops to lock bikes to and no one using them , and a few bmws no locks at all? (top of range gs and rt)
this car park is unmanned and 3 cars had been broken in to,
what you do with your own bike - ok , but when nicked we all pay as insurance just keeps going up.
ok i suppose if you can leave a £13000 bike unlocked - just get a new one:pinch:
rant over

you just cant tell some people m8, they probably under the illusion the bike is safe in a ncp car park, if was me it would be locked to something at every occasion and i have only an old bandit 12.

probably see em on here soon whinging their bike was nicked, lol

been wondering this myself, will be riding into central every friday - could do without buying a secondary massive chain/padlock to keep at the office tbh.

If the bike is alarmed I’m guessing leaving it outside selfridges between 9-4 should be ok. Might buy a slightly lighter duty one just so the bike can’t ‘roll’ without somebody cutting something

i would always use a good disc lock, but best to lock to a post or something.
alarms – no one takes any notice, the ncp i was in working as a contractor all day all sorts of low lifes lurking about.- so parking in a ncp may be worse than on the street. vans come in and out - so easy to lift a bike?

If you value your bike then get a decent chain and leave it where your bike is gonna be parked…

The alarm won’t do shit, it’s so busy there and plenty of trade vehicles that stop off, they could chuck it in the back of a van and nobody would bat an eyelid…

And don’t tell the world where you’re planning on parking it;)
