bike or car tomorrow???

just got a new back tyre for my zxr 750 h1. Been on it tonight to scrub it in a bit. Havn’t had the bike for 3 weeks now, so i’m itching to get on it properly again. I got a 50 mile trek to work 2moro and can’t decide whether to take the car or bike…
I guess i’ll decide in the morning…
I always regret taking the car when i see other bikers braving the elements. Hate getting stuck in traffic, hate the boredome, hate the lack of personality a car has…(or hasn’t)
any others in the same boat?..(or car?)

Bike, bike and thrice bike!!!
Do it, you’ll only wish you had done if you take the car. :D:D:D:D

I’d be taking the car if it was me! A new tyre or the worst weather wouldnt make me change my mind

Unless there’s snow or ice tomorrow morning, I would take the bike, leave a bit earlier and take it easy.

It’s looking frosty out there at the mo - so take it easy and be prepped for cold fingers!

Jam Jar all the way:w00t:

There’s no fun in freezing your bits off on slippery roads in bad light when you have a car sitting at home;)

Heater on, sounds cranked up, sorted;)

Car…

+1

new back tyre… common sense says car buddy, you’d spend too long in regret if something went wrong today

definitely car for me.

Help me with the “new back tyre” bit, please. How much difference do people think having a new tyre makes?

make you right.never had a problems with new tyers:)

Depends what your riding and if it’s been scrubbed in. The shiny coating on a new trye along with these particularly slippery roads isn’t a great combination, especially on a sports bike that can be ‘twitchy’ at the best of times. Of course, on a bus like Tug’s it would make no difference at all, especially as he never goes over 50mph :stuck_out_tongue:

makes you extra anxious to check how it performs :w00t:

New tyre and salty slippery roads = accident waiting to happen.

I hope you took the sensible option and took the car.

thats fast enough for me youg lady:D

all in the mind:)

Congratulations on the Christmas avatar Tug:)

well folks…
i took the BIKE!!..loved every minute of it,…exept the cold fingers on the way home.
I was very conscious of the fact the tyre was still not scrubbed in properly. I took the corners VERY steadily. Had a big grin on the way to work
coming home was very blustery and wet, but still better than me car :D:D

Well done yourself !!! Bike over car everytime, told ya so! :D:D:D
