Bike Friendly Meeting Places

Apart from the obvious High Beech and Ace Cafe tea hut I’m at a loss to think of any other meeting places for bikers that aren’t either in the middle of town (no fun getting to) or Sarf of the water.

Any suggestions?

Poppins in East Sheen.

Wheres that then? Have they moved East Sheen then?:stuck_out_tongue:

How far north do you wanna go,

Foxs Diner or Silver Ball Cafe perhaps

I’m just north of London so High Beech is my local but only daytimes. Was wondering if there was any evening activity anywhere as the ride to both Borough and Ace isn’t exactly exciting is it?

Where is Foxes and Silver Ball?

orsett cock pub, A13, orsett on monday nights

I rode past a couple of mondays ago, there were a few bikes in the car park and I got a few looks (loud blue SV1000s if you were there and remember).

I’ll stop next time as I only live around the corner.

Is that the silver ball cafe on the A10 just before Royston ? Been there a few times but never seen another bike there. Bit of a sad place, lorry park more than anything.

Maybe we should make the Silver Ball busier & less sad

I was wondering about that cafe on the A1000 near Welham Green, dunno what the service is like but the truckers seem to like it.

Silver Ball is an idea as its near the gateway to some cracking rides (A120):stuck_out_tongue:

I was at High Beach this past Sunday and the Tea Hut was closed!

to make matters worse, I did not see any toilets in the area and the parking lot was not paved.

It’s a truckers greeasy spoon during the week, a few bikers pop in at the weekend but the food…sorry, I cant think of anything nice/good to say about the food…

if you go east you have got the Dick Turpin on the A127 on a tuesday night

Yea thats a good one then every one normaly gose over to the Mc Donalds car park at Festivel Lesiure in basildon after its a good night and theres also a group of bikes that meet on wednesdays at the canvey strip industrial and laindon strip industrial.

me and 20ish others meet over pitsea flyover every night from about 7 till late

On yer Bike in Aylsebury is a nice run. It’s on the A41, GSXRang knows loads of good routes

Also, Foxes as already suggested. That’s towards Oxford, again GSXRang is the lady with the routes

(Sorry Ang, lol)

Its a famiy run business I think, must be away on their hols.Toilets are up by the Kings Head or just go native, the carpark is quite a firm surface despite the gravel.

Thats right next to where we work. Used to be good food but never seen any bikes there

What sort of time does it shut up Grim? I have to admit I enjoyed the company at Ace on Monday night but the cunning stunts of the scooter boys gave me ar$e ache;), and the journey isnt too exciting

On your Bike - That sounds interesting is it a bike shop type thing? There’s a new one over in Letchworth with a cafe apparently…anyone been?

Yep those scooter boys know how to have a good time :crazy:Not sure what time the ‘Rookery’ (think thats the name) cafe opens. We usually get to the Newbie night but had to miss it last time :frowning:
