Hi, did this last year, if you have a big Trailie type bike and want to ride the green lanes around Herts then I will be willing to lead a ride, just let me know, I’ll be out scouting the lanes this weekend. It will be slippery, so descent tyres are a must and recovery might be a good thing to have. I can throw some fords in but that depends on the weather. The ford I used last year is now too deep.
well I was hoping for a little more interest than this but that’s ok. I went out on the lanes this weekend and many are flooded and would be difficult to ride without aggressive tyres, there was also a lot of trees down. So best leave it for a few weeks. Szymon if I go out in the mean time and you want to tag along that’s fine I’ll let you know
I hoping to pick up a xt660z tenere next month for a bit of commuting and general trail riding so if you can find something not too challenging for a trail novice I would love to come out sometime
Hi I haven’t forgotten about this ride, I went out as I said I would on the 16th of Feb to check the lanes and hit some black ice on a corner, on a road section, I broke some ribs and did both deep and soft tissue trauma. I was hoping to be ok to ride (ever the optimist) but the trauma is taking longer to heal than I thought it would. I haven’t given up on the ride just postponing it for a bit sorry
