big Trailie ride

Hi, did this last year, if you have a big Trailie type bike and want to ride the green lanes around Herts then I will be willing to lead a ride, just let me know, I’ll be out scouting the lanes this weekend. It will be slippery, so descent tyres are a must and recovery might be a good thing to have. I can throw some fords in but that depends on the weather. The ford I used last year is now too deep.

Thanks Mick

Can I come along with my medium trailie? DRZ400SM, but with off-road wheels and tyres…

Hey Mick, how’s it going?
I’ll be up for another one if I can get the time off.

I’m easy, not worried who comes, I just wanted to give those a chance who have big trailie type bikes to have a go off road

well I was hoping for a little more interest than this :frowning: but that’s ok. I went out on the lanes this weekend and many are flooded and would be difficult to ride without aggressive tyres, there was also a lot of trees down. So best leave it for a few weeks. Szymon if I go out in the mean time and you want to tag along that’s fine I’ll let you know

.

meh all you need is a supermoto and a complete lack of IQ… that’s how I’ve approached lanes so far  :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds good, let me know when you go and if I have time I’d love to come along

I hoping to pick up a xt660z tenere next month for a bit of commuting and general trail riding so if you can find something not too challenging for a trail novice I would love to come out sometime

Date depending I’ll come along missed last years due to work

Hi I haven’t forgotten about this ride, I went out as I said I would on the 16th of Feb to check the lanes and hit some black ice on a corner, on a road section, I broke some ribs and did both deep and soft tissue trauma. I was hoping to be ok to ride (ever the optimist) but the trauma is taking longer to heal than I thought it would. I haven’t given up on the ride just postponing it for a bit  sorry

Sorry to hear that! We’ll ride when you’re ready to ride, get well soon

Hope you make a good recovery. No rush, Plenty of time to get out

Get well soon!!!

And have just bought a xt660z so hopefully will be able to make it when youre well again
