For those of you that didn’t read of my escapades this weekend …
I had an egg hit my tail fairing thrown by a lovely resident of the new flats by chelsea Bridge last Friday evening. Having just scrubbed and cleaned my bike (you’d be amazed where egg can get too !!), the bike does have damage to the paintwork and I really wouldn’t want that to happen to someone else. So if you are up there this friday, don’t park near the flats … or opposite them by the pedestrian crossing (thats where I was) as if they do it again it will be damage to your paint work if it hits your P&J.
Am off to Batersea nick in the next hour or so to get it reported as a Criminal Damage … won’t do much good but hopefully wind of it will get back to that MP that was fighting the corner of the residents stating how horrible us bikers were.
If anyone does see an egg thrown from a particualr window or apartment, pm me so you can show me and I’ll make sure that the relevent peeps find out so they can be nicked. It would help the ‘bikers’ corner very much in the ‘War of Chelsea Bridge’.
Can those of you that post elsewhere warn them as well please.
Oh and does anyone know where I can find out the price of a new Honda Tail fairing on the t’internet ? (CBR600 F6). Need it for the crime report.

not really…but am soo angry that this has happend…its a sure way to get ppls backs up and if i was’nt trying to spread the word about a respectable comunity we have,ide of been thinking of revenge attacks right now…
the’re gonna hit a biker one day that’ll break down the door and hammer the gutless ******** and that will be a bad blow for bike meets at the bridge…
only hope this mp see’s that this attack was bang out of order…and a warning should be made to all residents…
Does this strike anyone else as just a bit anal? I mean c’mon how much damage is an egg gonna do to your bike? Probably less than riding it around London on a regular basis.
I can totally see how you are pissed off at this incident, but get real… unless it was an ostrich egg I don’t see it doing anything I’d consider “damage”.
(OK OK maybe I ride a total rat bike but I wouldn’t really sweat something like this. They can throw eggs at me all I want – I’ll fry them up on my exhaust and eat them with a bit of salt & pepper and a slice of toast from the tea hut. Thanks for the free food, wankers!!)
itsthemechanic, with respect, take an egg…pointy side towards your forhead and wack it into aforementioned forhead. Bugger that hurts. Now imagine that hurled off a two story building!!
its very rare that i get the hump,but let me tell ya somthing sunshine…there were two eggs lobbed at us that night and the second almost hit me…it did do damage to trojans bike and put a dampner on trojans well earned good night out with his freinds…
we wer’nt being loud…or abusing anybody’s civil liberty’s…we were just talking…having a laugh and getting ready to go to frith…thats it!!!
what gives anybody the right to throw a missile at anybody let alone damage somebodys property…trojan loves that bike to the hilt…as we all do…
so if some spoiled brat decided to buy an apartment and did’nt checkout the area first…thats his problem…it dosent give them the right to hurl eggs at someone…next time…it could be a rock…or somthing like that…

I personally say that we take our camcorders to Chelsea bridge, fix them pointing towards the 5th-6th-7th floors and leave them running. This way we will catch them launching and give us grounds to prosecute.
If an egg would have hit me I would be fu*&ing raging, this is the same as someone standing right in front of me and chucking an egg straight in my face, it is very personal.
An egg being the projectile kind of makes it all seem a bit jovial, it wasn’t and it will not be. If it it was a small stone, is that ok as well?
