Best bike for munching up the miles?

If I needed to do a 100mile round trip every day - mostly motorway.

What’s the best bike to do this with - in terms of comfort, cost & value?

Thoughts invited!

VFR750/dullsville 650

I feel a wrist slitting coming on!

i personally would just man the fack up and do it on the tuono…

CBF 1000. If you want to buy one, can do you a deal.

BL

prob the R1200 GS

Yeah, but he’ll get a better deal on my CBF than your GS :stuck_out_tongue:

Thats only 50 miles each way, do it on the tuono, you’ll only have to fill her up twice

Kwak Versys?

everyone that reveiws it says that mile munching is its best feature and that it fell out the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Vstrom? comfy Vtwin but a bit dull?

GS is too wide to filter, but anything upright with a big screen, and heated bits and bobs.

otherwise its a VFR or a Sprint, or an old Pan or a Dullesville.

A vstrom would do it nicely. I was doing a 90 mile a day commute (all M25) until recently. The KLV (a vstrom 1000) was perfect for the job. Comfy, good weather protection and was doing about 50mpg on the trip as long as I avoided three figure speeds.

An old 750 big trallie - cheap enough to keep the other bike…

lol, cheers guys. Would defo do it on the T- but you’re looking at £450 - 500 p/m on just fuel!

may turn into a cager for a while :frowning:

Cub90

What are you a girl?

Maxi-scooter?

Deauville 650/700 or V-Strom 650.

Both are reliable, good weather protection, and efficient. Given the weather I’d go with a Strom with heated grips the standard hand guards will make riding more pleasant.

Or

See Matt’s second answer.

<--------- Ugly? :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha, it’s a really comfy bike, a full tank will carry you about 210 miles. Having lots of fun on mine

lol. I’d ride anything really - distance isn’t the problem. I’m looking at time/cost savings.

Sensible head on at the minute - won’t last for long (how much is a Diavel these days? lol)

Colleague does 100 each way on a 1050 Sprint. You’re a bit taller than him, not by much - 2 inches or so.

CBF 600 OR 1000

CB500

or

TV4?
