:: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
wow … thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for this weekend.
It would have been impossible without you guys. Honestly,
it would have been so hard to carry on.
You were indespensible, and deserve the cheers and whistles
that we gave you!
YAY!
))))
These walkers are the salt of the earth
Quality !!
Nice one guys, sorry to be absent from proceedings, but I’m well chuffed with the result.
Nice that petty problems are put to one side and every rallies for a good cause. Hopefully we can do more like this !
You are all hero’s. You can all be judged by your deeds that weekend and be proud.
Thanks for the kind words Andrew…trust me…if you could have seen the way the members performed you would have looked like me waiting to go up to the stage !!
in bitz properly…
emotional to have such a quality team…![]()
Just had this in my flickr account!
THANK YOU!
Aren’t you one of the LondonBikers who were involved this weekend for the Breakthrough for Breast Cancer walk?
I just did a search on ‘londonbikers.com’ …
If so, I just wanted to say thank you … if not … ignore me!

Guys this is amazing…!
You are all so amazing cool.

Howdy London Bikers!
Just wanted to add my thanks to the list! You guys (and girls) were awesome, the constant cheering, whistles, hugs and general support was amazing - I know personally I couldn’t have got through the weekend without you. Just as we were losing sight of our goal we’d turn a corner and see some flashes of orange ahead of us - you were absolutely priceless ![]()
Thanks to each and every one of you for all you did especially for making sure we got across the roads safely despite the best efforts of some lunatics!! ![]()
I’m sorry we didn’t catch anyone’s names, but to the guy who came and took our hands and walked us across the road outside one of the parks on Sunday - THANK YOU!! It probably sounds daft but that encouragement and in particular the hugs we received before carrying on, really spurred us onto the next pit stop. We’d hit an all-time low at that point and you gave us the kick up the a*se we both needed!!
Also to the cute guy with the camera
hope we get to see some of your photos sometime soon… Thanks to everyone who came over to see us after the closing ceremony too - you guys rock, big time - and we hope to see you there again next year. The event wouldn’t be the same without you xxx
Huge love and hugs,
Kerry and Katie xx

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…thats an amazing post…
Thank you Thank you Thank you …
please please please make sure we have the gift of an invite to do it all again !!!
you girls were quality…supreme effort was witnessed by all us bikers and the only down fall for us was that we hadnt done it before.
long life, love and luck to you people that made OUR WEEKEND!!
![]()
The weekend wouldn’t be the same without you, all of us walkers agreed on that - I think the cheer you and the rest of the crew got at the closing ceremony is testament to that. If you’re not invited back next year you’ll just have to ditch your leathers (temporarily) and come join us on the walk ![]()
I see you guys are off out for a celebratory/thank you meal… that’s the very least you deserve… if we weren’t so busy trying to fundraise for last weekend we’d pay for your meal ourselves!! ![]()

From Jo Gasson:
Hi Patrick,
I took part in the Aviva walk this weekend and just wanted to thank you and
all your mates in orange for being absolute legends all weekend.
As you could probably tell from the expressions on our faces, it got quite
tough at times (as the 2 large blisters on my feet can testify!!) but seeing
you all in your very fetching bras and having a banter with you along the
way / being hooted at made such a huge difference - it really lifted our
spirits.
It was an incredible weekend that I’ll remember for a vey long time and I’m
so proud to have been able to take part and raise so much money (my mum died
of breast cancer when I was 16 - i’m 37 now, so it was a long time ago, but
you never forget!!) - you safety guys (along with the rest of the crew) played
a huge part in me being able to complete the distance, so thank you!!
I hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as we all did.
Will you please pass on my thanks to the others too.
By the way, the company I work for has an office at Wembley Point, so some
of my friends sometimes go to the Ace Cafe - I saw that it got a mention
on the londonbikers website, so I’ll tell them to look out for men in big
pink bras (I presume they will become a regular part of your attire from
now on??!) and to give you a wave if they see you
Thanks again
Best wishes
Jo
I still blown away by people’s emails and responses - such a nice warm feeling!

And another:
I just wanted to thank the guys for all their hard work this weekend. They were stars. Without them, us walkers, would not have felt safe on the roads. They guided us through with encouragement and smiles … oh, and bras!
I’ve had a chance to thank some of them personally in response to the photos on my Flickr page - but I just wanted to send out a heartfelt thank you.
Regards
Polly
ps: some photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/polstar/sets/72157594288948820/
not many - and not great (well a couple make me laugh) - but I was too knackered to take many photos!!!
Thanks again

Yes its another one of those mad walkers!! Just wanted to say thanks for all the support on the way round. Especially through the worst hills I have ever experienced in my life!! Just the site of all of you in your orange t-shirts with your happy smiling faces and encouragement made the pain ease in my feet and kept me going.
I have looked at the photos and they certainly made me laugh! I notice that one person in particular seems to like having his picture taken (dont know any names). Is the pink bras going to be a permanent addition to your outfits? Some of you certainly seemed to enjoy wearing them. Amazing how the boobs got bigger through the day, to rival Dolly Parton in some cases.
Anyway just wanted to say a massive thank you. Last weekend is certainly something I will never forget!!![]()
![]()
I know who you mean - and so does he! I think we’re all still wearing them - my bike is too!
Welcome to LB! Glad you made it to the forum!
Those hills were a nightmare - I felt for you all - as did everyone else but I’m glad we kept you going!
See you at one of the meets! Cubana - walkers always welcome! ![]()
That would be great. How often do you all get together? Dont have a motorbike myself. Did a long time ago but no where near as big as the ones you were all riding![]()
The regular meet is at Cubana in Lower Marsh near Waterloo station That’s on Wednesdays. Some of us can also be found in Frith Street in Soho on a Friday night too (when the police allow us back
) and at the Ace cafe but Cubana is your best bet to meet us!
This forum is open to all and you don’t need a bike to be part of it! so come on down if you can! Bring a mate if you want and make yourself known and you’ll be made very welcome! Just look out for the Cubana posts for details!

I have been following your weekend of fun for days now and you have all been amazing. I regret not having been part of it all. Am currently on crutches cos i’ve dislocated and fractured my kneecap tripping at work 3 wks after crashing the Storm (same injury) so i’m in loadsa pain and not very mobile.
Looking forward to Cubana sometime in the future in the meantime keep up the good work you are a v. cool group of people
