BCW 2007 Gallery #3 Now Up!

Cant wait for next year now !!! Talk about wishing all those biking days away till then !! But its such a buzz on the day, and still buzzing from it all…we just gotta take this on again…and make it even BETTER !! WE gotta get whistles etc and deck ourselves out more…go the full hog !!

Hey what about starting our own Breast Cancer fund?..i dunno just a thought…like every time we go on a rideout together, we put some money in the “pot” then hand it in to whoever from LB that we nominate as “banker”…( i DID say banker peeps!), who then banks it, and sends us updates on how much we have saved, till next years walk…then the total for the year gets handed in at the end ceremony?..that way it will not only be us volunteering on the day, but also what we have donated as a forum?

Doesnt have to be more than couple of quid each rideout, and it will soon mount up…i dont mean on any MAIN rideout, i mean ANY time any of us go for a ride in a group, someone from that group collects £2 from us all, then when he sees the nominated “banker”, hands it in…its not THAT bad a idea really when you think of it, and think of the surprise they will get when we produce the cheque on the day??? Now THAT would give each and every one of us even more of a buzz !!! Even if the end amount is only bout £500 its what WE have done as a biking community…ha we could even do bootsales…hee hee can just see me standing in some field selling me old knickers to some immigrant that needs them to make hats to sell or something !!! :w00t: (fancy making hats from old knickers…eeewwww) :wink:

Our charity is the London Air Ambulance, Blade, did you forget? :slight_smile: We’re planning some more events for LAA fund-raising as we speak!

As much as thats a great idea Ive got to go with Jay on this Blade sweetheart…

Bcw is great for the feel good factor and we do rule when it comes to the event itself and everyone knows that by ythe way we are recieved by Breakthrough and The Walkers. We do contribute to the Breakthrough Funds via our Registration Fees and rightly so but these Fees also buy us our Shirts and Insurance for the day.

London Air Ambulance is our Adopted Charity for full scale Fundraising and it should remain so.
