If I get up in time i will see you guys in the morning. May bail early though, need to be at a jelly and ice cream party (unfortunately this does not involve ladies wrestling in said desserts).
Sorry guys, but I’m out. Battery problems. Went to Tesco for some shopping; couldn’t start the bike to get back home. As I’m too afraid I will drop the bike if I try to push start it, I called recovery. Waited one and a half hours for them to show up. I told the guy that to me it doesn’t make sense for the battery to die while out and about. He said the most likely cause was loose cables. That proved not to be the case, so he hooked the battery up to a charger and had me try and start the bike. It started immediately. He then used one of those voltmeter thingies to check if the battery was being charged. It was, which puzzled the guy: how come the battery died if it was being charged? He then came up with another theory: intermittent charging, caused by a faulty rectifier (or something like that). He advised me not to buy a new battery (it could still be OK) until I check that device. What do you guys think?
