I myself have a simple overboard backpack and it does the job fine.
However I saw a guy with this on tonight…pretty cool but reckon it would be a massive faff…
That reflect 360 stuff is really good!
Not long had my yellow overboard so prob won’t change for now.
Nice recommendation, just ordered it. Thank you!
Damn, I like the reflective one. The electrical one does look like a faff with all the charging you’d need, and how does it integrate with the indicators? Or is it just for cyclists to do manually?
Proviz stuff is really good. I’m sure there’s a market for a motorcycle over jacket given that black is the most common colour for biking gear. If it washes ok I’d be interested.
Jay it was defo integrated as his indicator was flashing as he pulled up in front of me.
Have to say it was effective but I’m a lazy sod!
Wirelessly connected to the bikes indicators & brakes according to the bumf. Sounds pretty clever actually apart from having to remember to charge it.

I had a proviz rucksack & it wont be waterproof for very long trust me
I now have a reflective overboard rucksack & its now on its second winter & still 100% waterproof
& I work on the basics of if they are in front of you they are a danger
if there behind you they are a lot less of a danger
Very true Wise…I am happy with the Overboard so far. No leaks, tough material etc etc
The Vata7 does seem very clever though. Although I question how “waterproof” it actually is…
This is exactly my feeling.

Talk about overcomplicating things
kinda off topic:
i have a 360reflect jacket that i wear over my gortex waterproofs, so dont care about how waterproof it is…

i have seen a marked improvement of cars being aware of me!
I bought an overboard rucksack, a bright yellow 30L one. It’s nice to know that when i turn up somewhere a bit damp, i can have dry clothes to change into. That lightup rucksack seems like a huge faff tho.
$200 for the LED backback, and it doesn’t offer as much light output as the reflective one. I know which one I’d be inclined to own!
Also, these rucksacks need to be designed for motorcyclists. It’s all well and good having unique selling points like visibility enhancers, but if you haven’t also got good load-distributing features and quick-access pockets like Kriega gear, then they’re not going to do it for me. I love Kriega bags. I just wish they’d incorporate some of these innovations!
for me nothing beats a kriega backpack with a waterproof cover
Yup, best build quality and utility. I’ve had an R35 for about a decade now - still going strong! Also got an R3 waist pack. Claire uses their US range as well for luggage and those have been all round Europe with us. I can’t recommend them enough.

You could fit 2 helmets in it, with space to spare.
Don’t want to sound too negative, but I would never drive with a helm in my backpack. If a crash were to happen I wouldn’t want to land on a helmet with my back, I could well not get up anymore.
