Back protector

Hi guys

I’m looking at getting a new back protector that fits in my Motegi 2 piece and have been looking at these to.

Nucleon KR-R

A tailbone protector can also be attached to this.

Nucleon KR-1i

Both CE2 rated protection. The KR-R clips in to the jacket and has a kidney belt to and the KR-1i goes in to the jacket.
Just wondering if they actually give the same protection?
Does anyone have experience with these or just any enlightenment would be great

I’m probably going to buy this chest protection to.

Have a look at the Forcefield inserts. They are excellent, and unless you are really unlucky are multiple use.

+1 on the Forcefield inserts; they come in a lot of different shapes/sizes so you’ll easily find one that fits. I use one in my jacket, theyre a bit stiff at first but soon mold to your shape, I don’t even notice that mines in.

Also, they have CE Level 2 armor ones which are like sas-tec armor so harden on impact, can be used after multiple crashes and is slim, light and breathable.

Inserts are easier to use as they are always in the jacket. A separate back protector normally covers more of the back and less likely to move about, but if you’re just popping out you might not always want to put it on.

you might also want to look at the complete shirts like this one http://www.forcefieldbodyarmour.com/product/pro-shirt-x-v/2434

Forcefield are good but i would also recommend Icon i fall off all the time and does me

Stop falling off would be a better solution.

Go BIG or Go Home :w00t:

I’ve crash tested a Forcefield strap on back protector and walked away from a 40mph slide down the road. Recommended. I also wear a chest protector but have not tested that and don’t intend to!

Forcefield are fantastic and once they warm up you can’t even feel them. Go and try one on and see what you think.

Thanks for all your answers  I’ll go look at forcefield. Has anyone tried or know Alpinestars own? I like the clip in funtion of the KR-R…
