Just been looking at the back protectors that came in my jackets and noticed they have different sizes marked on them and I have no idea if they’re correct for me.
Does anyone know the definitive way to measure for a back protector?
Whatever fits in the pocket?
When i bought mine, there were 4 or 5 shapes available and I just picked the shape that matched the pocket in my jacket, there weren’t any size variations for any given shape:

See, that’s what I thought. But, the Alpinestars insert I have says Size:L and has torso measurements in cms. It’s also much bigger than my Hein Gericke Backshock Air, which is a medium and also has size measurements.
I’ve seen plenty of size charts like the one you’ve linked to but all they seem to do is either tell you the dimensions of the protector, or the back size a specific sized protector is recommended for. They don’t tell you how to know what size you actually need.
Cant say anything about sizes but +1 to forcefield.
Very sturdy but also comfortable.
