Oh! At the risk of the attrition rate going through the roof, can we have some overtaking? The ride seems to slow down when riders that want to go a bit slower get to the front and then faster riders seem reluctant to pass? But pls use all the width of the road to pass (if you cant put lots a fresh air between you and the rider your passing then best to wait until you can?)

Speaking as a slower rider (but getting faster every week ) I’ve never minded people overtaking. If anything I’d rather a faster rider go past than sit behind me. Like you say though - use caution… or at least some common sense. On the weeks when a big group sets off it might also be useful if when the slower riders catch up, they don’t bimble to the fron of the pack. Anyway, at 7.30 overtaking should be much easier? Concur?

Not for me this week sadly as I’ve got to work:w00t:As for overtaking,there was some going on last Sunday with no problems that I could see,as long as you can do it cleanly and safely I don’t see any need for concern.Now you all take it easy out there;)
Mmm, may be its just me then. If folk wanna sit behind each other, then obviously cool. I often wonder if folk think its impolite to pass?..just watch out for messers Arnie and McC coming thru!
I’ve only been on 1 BCR but as a slower rider I personally prefer it if the faster ones behind me overtook rather than sit on my rather substantial tail !
It depends on the view George,now and again its quite pleasant sitting behind you;)
And other times Dal Release is there and spoils that view, right?
